Jessica is a PhD candidate in creative writing at the School of Humanities at Nanyang Technological University Singapore.
Her short story Letters was recently anthologized in How We Live Now (May 2022), edited by Yu-Mei Balasingamchow and published by Ethos. This short story collection will be used as a Ministry of Education (Singapore) O-Level recommended text starting 2022 (examinable from 2024). Her short story, The Gift, won an Honourable Mention at the national Golden Point Award in 2013, while Dragon Girl was anthologized in Twenty-Two New Asian Short Stories (Edited by Mohammad A. Quayum, Silverfish Books) in 2016. The book can be found on online bookstores, here and here. She was also awarded an NAC Arts Creation Grant in 2013. |
